Fear is the number one reason why matches are lost and won. In many cases you might be a better fighter than your opponent, however if you have fear or are fearful of loosing your battle, then chances are very good that you'll have already lost the match before it begins.

While many people suggest that you study your opponent before the match. Although this is a good idea, be sure not to over analyze the skill of your opponent. Watch his movement, but remain calm and meditate on the moves and not the skill set.

Go into the match with confidence that you will win and conquer your opponent.
